Our dungeon masters

Jane
Welcome to the realm of adventure, where Jane (she/her) reigns as your intrepid Dungeon Master! Philadelphia born and raised, Jane brings decades of tabletop gaming experience to the table, with a particular passion for Dungeons & Dragons ignited in 2019.
Since then, she’s been consumed by the thrill of storytelling and guiding adventurers through fantastical worlds. She loves playing with beginners and keeps an open mind for players’ creativity. Her goal is to engage every player and cultivate a collaborative storytelling experience where everyone’s unique contributions enrich the tapestry of the adventure.
When not lost in the realms of imagination, you can find her watching nerdy TV shows, movies and listening to various Dungeons & Dragons podcasts. But most of all she enjoys spending time with her beloved cats.

Geoff
Geoff (he/him) is an experienced DM having run campaigns and one-shot adventures since 2019. Geoff first started playing D&D in high school with 3rd edition, and picked it back up again in 2019. Geoff spends a lot of time home brewing creatures, adventures, and worlds for players to explore.
Geoff’s campaigns and adventures are a cinematic-inspired style and he believes that collaborative character role playing can be just as exciting as nearly escaping death from the clutches of that Loch who you pissed off by taking the last donut. His goal with players is for them to have fun and embrace the rule of cool.
When he’s not working or playing D&D, he enjoys reading and collecting comics, watching movies, and being an attentive Cat-Dad.

Ruth
Ruth (she/her) has been playing D&D since 3rd edition, with a brief foray into Pathfinder during the dark years of 4e.
Although occasionally accused of having “swallowed the rule book,” Ruth likes to use her rules mastery for good and not evil. She knows when to bend and stretch the rules and when to stick to them for the best story and most fun for everyone at the table. She has experience playing other TTRPGs such as Call of Cthulhu and Dark Heresy, which enhances her understanding of what D&D does well and when it might be fun to borrow ideas from other systems.
Ruth’s goal as a DM is for the whole table to work together, have a great time, and feel accomplished – whether that means slaying a dragon together or turning on each other for epic PvP in an evil one-shot. Her favorite class is Wizard and you may just get inspiration for playing one.
When not playing D&D, Ruth can be found enjoying nature or playing with her friendly house-sized displaced beast.

Greg
A lifelong player and GM, Greg (he/him) started playing 3/3/5ed in high school after finding a Player’s Handbook on a mall bench. Greg has been regularly playing and running games since 2018. Spending hours finding new and fun ways the rules of Dungeons & Dragons interact with each other and experimenting with introducing new fun rules in his games.
Greg lives and dies by the number one rule – do what is fun. Whatever the campaign, Greg sums up his GMing style: D&D is not ‘player vs GM,’ rather, D&D is ‘player vs the environment as presented by the GM.’ To Greg this means that we’re all here to be part of a story. To share our ideas and how they would interact with each other’s imagination. We all play these games to share what it is we have in our minds and be accepted by others.
Greg’s free time is taken up by playing MTG, cycling, cooking, and spending way too much time with his cats.

Cece
Whether for the thrill of adventure or the thrill of chaos, Cece (she/her) is always looking for her next opportunity to throw her players into some weird and wonderful situation. And with many of her games themed around games or mythology, she has no shortage of those opportunities.
After joining the Dungeons & Dragons club in middle school, Cece quickly became totally obsessed and forced all of her friends to join. In the nine years since, she has come to love writing weird characters, interesting game systems, and intriguing environments into each and every session. When running games, she strives to get every player invested and ready to get up to some shenanigans. She lives (and DMs) by her personal philosophy that nothing’s better than a little controlled chaos.
When not at the game table, Cece enjoys admiring antique jewelry, engaging in amicable swordplay, and building ridiculous things in Minecraft.

Matthew
Matthew (he/him) has been playing D&D since 2019, and he’s been DMing for nearly as long. He’s run everything from one-shots, to bloodthirsty coliseum battle royales, to a multi-year campaign.
For Matthew, the rules in the Player’s Handbook are more like guidelines. At the end of the day, the players and DM are all here to have fun and if that means bending the rules to give chaos a chance then let’s roll and see what the dice say. Matthew believes that being a DM means giving players the opportunity to take big risks, to ask for things they’re not sure are going to work, and to use that to push the story forward. Like most Bards, he’s here to inspire the party to greatness! or a TPK. Whichever. Maybe both!
When not playing D&D, Matthew enjoys video games, comics, cooking, and bothering his pets.

Cyrus
Cyrus (he/him) has been playing D&D since 2018 and crafts adventures that engage all types of players with a mix of combat, exploration, and role-play.
At his table, Cyrus crafts the world and players tell the story. The Rule Of Cool is always king. One-shots or campaigns, role-play is always rewarded with inspiration!
When not playing D&D, Cyrus has adventures traveling, diving, and spending time with his hellhound.

Raymond
Raymond Hoffmann comes to The Broken Bell with over 10 years of DMing experience. Having run homebrewed campaigns, one-shots, modules, and multiple other TTRPG systems, he is always down to try new methods of collective storytelling that will bring the table to life. He is inspired by film and bases his different modules on cinematic experiences so that the table can make themselves the main characters of their own story. When he’s not running games, he’s spending time with his son, wandering in the woods, or obsessing over the Philadelphia Eagles.
At the end of the day his number one goal as a DM is to make sure every single person at this table is having fun, so lets play fast and loose with the rules and let your imagination and the dice tell an unforgettable story.
